Brilliant King's Lynn enjoyed a memorable Good Friday as they stormed to an emphatic victory over struggling Birmingham at Perry Barr.

Danish star Kenneth Bjerre continued his promising run of form as he romped to a faultless paid maximum - yet it was a night where the Stars' talented youngsters came to the fore.

Reserve Lewis Kerr put in a magnificent display to continue his seamless transition to the top flight - suffering just one defeat and claiming several scalps from the Brummies top five.

Teenage sensation Robert Lambert also enjoyed a memorable evening on his first ever visit to Perry Barr - ending with a hard-earned 7+1 haul with a marvellous showing.

A typically strong performance from Niels-Kristian Iversen plus solid showings from Nicklas Porsing and Rory Schlein ensured Lynn put in a spectacular performance - recording just two last places and striking seven 5-1s.

From the moment reserve duo Kerr and Rose shot from the tapes in heat two to give the visitors the breakthrough things looked promising for the Norfolk outfit - and when Bjerre blasted around Danny King in fine style in the very next race it only improved their confidence.

A composed maximum from Bjerre and Grand Prix colleague Iversen placed the Stars well and truly in the driving seat in heat six - before two huge 5-1s in heats 10 and 11 effectively ended the meeting as a contest.

The outstanding Bjerre was joined at the front by a determined Rory Schlein as he battled past the previously unbeaten Adam Skornicki to put Lynn 12 clear.

Teenage sensation Robert Lambert then performed heroics from the outside gate to combine with Iversen to nullify a King tactical ride for the hosts and all but confirm an away victory.

Despite their comfortable position, the classy Stars showed no signs of complacency as they closed the meeting out in impressive fashion - storming to three 5-1s in the final three races to complete a confidence boosting win.

It was Danish duo Bjerre and Iversen who capped off the win in perfect fashion as they spectacular picked off both Brummies riders to seal a sublime victory for the title-chasing Stars.
