Peterborough United will be hoping their hottest striker can win today's clash of League's One's most feared frontmen.

Posh's Britt Assombalonga and Coventry City's Calum Wilson are level on top of the division's scoring charts having netted 21 times. And the pair will go toe-to-toe this afternoon at London Road as the hosts look to strengthen their play-off push. Darren Ferguson's men currently hold a six-point advantage over their nearest challengers, MK Dons, with five to play. Their opponents would be in seventh place had it not been for a 10-point deduction for their financial problems. But even though they sit 13th, Fergie is expecting a tough encounter.

The Posh boss told his club's official website: 'When we faced Coventry on Boxing Day, I felt they would have a real go for the play-offs, but they have lost a few players and are not as close as I thought they might be, but make no mistake, they are a good side and it will be a tough game.

'The lad Wilson is a talented striker, he is quick and has scored a lot of goals this season. We each have a front man at the top of the goalscoring charts so it could make for an open encounter on Saturday.

'I was really pleased with the crowd on Tuesday and hopefully that performance, particularly in the second half will attract some of those back on Saturday as we really need the fans support between now and the end of the season.'

Peterborough welcome back Lloyd Isgrove, who has overcome a slight knock, and Joe Newell. The latter has been suspended since he picked up a red card for violent conduct during his side's Johnstone's Paint Trophy final win at Wembley.

Coventry manager Steven Pressley believes the duel between Wilson and Assombalonga will add extra spice to the clash in Cambridgeshire.

He told the Sky Blues' official website: 'Callum has been brilliant since he came back from injury. He didn't look at his best against MK Dons but the level of recovery we've seen from him has been incredible. We'll all hoping Callum will lead the scoring charts at the end of the season because he deserves it.

'He had a long time out and if he doesn't have that time out, I'm sure he'd quite possibly be ahead in the charts.

'Britt is very talented player. He has a lot of pace and finishing his definitely improved throughout the season. He is very similar to Callum so it will be a battle between them.'
