King's Lynn-raised frontman Dom Dwyer has been awarded Major League Soccer's player of the month honour for May.
Dwyer, 23 – who grew up and went to secondary school in Lynn – bagged six goals in America's top-flight for Sporting KC to claim the MLS award. Last month's winner was former Fulham ace Clint Dempsey.
The powerful frontman's profile is growing that much across the Atlantic that he almost secured a loan deal with Charlton Athletic earlier this season.
