Fans were left fuming after the first round of the 2015 Grand Prix series was cut short with just 12 heats completed.
Issues with the tapes set the tone for a farcical meeting in Warsaw which eventually saw the world's best riders begin races with a 'green-light start'. The temporary track then cut up so badly in front of 53,000 fans that the action was stopped due to safety concerns.
More outrage ensued when it was decided competitors would be attributed with the points they had attained rather than re-running the 23-heat showcase. King's Lynn's Niels-Kristian Iversen claimed seven points from three outings.
Final result: 1 Matej Zagar 8 points, 2 Jarek Hampel 7, 3 Niels-Kristian Iversen 7, 4 Chris Harris 7, 5 Greg Hancock 5, 6 Tai Woffinden 5, 7 Michael Jepsen Jensen 5, 8 Jason Doyle 4, 9 Tomas H Jonasson 4, 10 Tomasz Gollob 4, 11 Krzysztof Kasprzak 3, 12 Nicki Pedersen 3, 13 Andreas Jonsson 3, 14 Maciej Janowski 3, 15 Bartosz Zmarzlik 3, 16 Piotr Pawlicki 1, 17 Chris Holder 0, 18 Troy Batchelor 0.
