Dereham Town are on their travels again as they aim to kickstart an FA Cup adventure.
The Magpies visit United Counties League Premier Division side Deeping Rangers in a preliminary round tie against a team who play one level below them in the non-league pyramid.
Assistant boss Neal Simmons, who has been taking charge of Dereham in the absence of boss Matt Henman, said: 'We know that the UCL is a strong league. We have to go there with the right attitude. We have played them twice in recent years in friendlies which have been close.'
Deeping will present a tough test for the Magpies – who welcome back midfielder Sam Borrer while keeper Will Viner deputises for the suspended Andy Wilton – with the free-scoring side netting 17 goals in their opening four competitive games, including a 6-1 win against Boston Town in the extra preliminary round. The winners will pocket £1,925 prize money and set up a trip to either Leek Town or Rocester on September 12 in the first qualifying round.
