King's Lynn host a double-header this evening as the club's Elite and National League sides go in search of important victories.

The Stars' senior side welcome Coventry Bees before the Young Stars finally get their third-tier programme under way with a home match against Stoke Potters. It means a bumper 30-heats of action at the Adrian Flux Arena and co-promoter Dale Allitt is anticipating an entertaining night of speedway.

Allitt, who is set for a busy period after becoming temporary boss of Premier League Peterborough Panthers following Carl Johnson's resignation yesterday, said: 'From the Stars point of view, we feel that it's vitally important that we bounce back at the first attempt from our defeat against Belle Vue a couple of weeks ago.

'We know we're a far better team than we were that night and we're looking for a response.

'For the Young Stars it will be great to get on track as a team for the first time in 2016.

'Six of the side were with each other last year with just Nathan Greaves being the only new face in the team and I think that continuity can play a part in our chances this season.

'Stoke have got a few capable riders but the Young Stars want to get off to a winning start and I think we're in for a great night of speedway.'

The Stars are at full strength against the Bees, who include Great Britain duo Chris Harris and Danny King in their ranks. Both sides have lost two of their three meetings so far this season.

Admission prices for all 30 heats are £19 adults, £16 concessions, £5 juniors while children go free. However, any fans who don't wish to stay for the National League clash will be given a voucher on exit to get a free programme at the next Elite League meeting.
