A match between Beccles and Bungay is always one to look forward to – but today's derby clash at College Meadow will have a extra touch of spice.
The old rivals are both on the fringes of the Anglian Combination Division One promotion race and desperately need a positive result to keep in touch with the top two.
Beccles are currently four points behind second-placed Bradenham having played one more game, while Bungay are seven points off the pace but with one game in hand.
The derby was set up perfectly last weekend when both teams won 3-0 away from home, at Holt and North Walsham, respectively.
Leaders Aylsham are at Loddon this afternoon while Bradenham host bottom team Dersingham.
With rivals Harleston Town in Senior Cup action Spixworth will go 17 points clear at the top of the Premier Division, having played four more games, if they win at fourth-placed Waveney.
