Gorleston know they must win this evening at second-placed Felixstowe & Walton to maintain any realistic Thurlow Nunn Premier Division title hopes of their own.
The third-placed Greens were pegged back on Saturday after they were held to a 1-1 draw against Stanway Rovers. Ricci Butler's men are 13 points off leaders Mildenhall, who have played three games more and a point behind tonight's opponents, who have played 33 matches – one more than Gorleston. The Greens must turn those games in hand into points to keep the pressure on Mildenhall, who looked like cruising to the title for the first half of the season, before a blip allowed the Greens and Felixstowe to reel them in.
However, Hall look to have steadied the ship winning four league games in a row whilst Felixstowe have stuttered recently, losing their last two. If Gorleston can pick up victory tonight it would effectively make it a two-horse race for the title.
