Eastern Counties Women racked up nine tries in their final pool game of the Gill Burns Women's County Championship to beat Cheshire 59-0 and claim top spot in the table.
Following the emphatic win at West Norfolk the team will have to wait until next week's final round to see if they will make the final, with Leicestershire still able to take top spot.
While the backs scored many of the points the forwards gave them a rock steady platform, with prop, Bury Foxes' Jasmin Clark, anchoring the scrum.
George Lingham, playing on her home ground, Lizell Heather and Steph Hanratty each scored two tries while Maria Carpenter, Naomi Dobner and Wymondham's Libby Lockwood also crossed and Annalise Allan added seven conversions. Other Norfolk-based players in the squad were Sonia Knowles (Lakenham), Charly Green (Wymondham), Mary Hegarty (West Norfolk) and Rachel Grayson (Lakenham).
