The top of the table match in Division Two of the Norfolk Alliance was a surprisingly one-sided affair, with second-placed Beccles romping home.

Stuart Watkins took 4-27 and Matt Lowe 3-4 as Topcroft were skittled out for just 75 and that was a target the home side chased down for the loss of only three wickets.

Beccles are now just three points behind the leaders, while Hethersett and Tas Valley remain well in touch in third following a four-wicket win against Brooke A.

Martham are beginning to look untouchable at the top of Division Three. Their latest win came at Fakenham A, who were dispatched by five wickets after being dimissed for 141.

Andrew Hancock impressed for the hosts, making 76, while Marham's Lewis Dunn returned the eye-catching figures of 4.2-3-4.

Their closest rivals both won, with Great Melton 35 points behind in second place after finishing on 158-3 in reply to Swardeston B's 157-6. Bungay also eased home with something to spare, losing only two wickets when chasing down Winterton's 177-9. Their main men were Ed Masters (4-25) and Joe Lewis (94 not out) while Simon Walker made 68 for Fakenham.

Garboldisham remain 25 points clear in Division Four, having played one more game than their rivals, thanks to a four-wicket win at Rocklands which saw Luke Rackham take 5-11.

There were a couple of impressive scoring feats in the lower divisions, with Snettisham and Horsford B both comfortably passing 300.

Snettisham maintained their perfect record this season with one of the most comprehensive victories ever recorded in the Alliance. They won by 275 runs after going all the way up to 332-4 before bowling out visitors Lowestoft for just 57, the star men being Jon Forder (123 not out), Ryan Twiddy (111) and Kieran Herbert (5-13).

A win on Saturday will confirm Snettisham are going up, while in Division Six Horsford thirds became the first team to actually clinch promotion when they made 341-4 and then bowled Dereham A out for 151. Simon Harwood led the run charge with an undefeated 102.
