King's Lynn Town turned on the style in the second half at The Walks last night to beat visitors Royston Town 4-0 and remain top of the Evostik League Southern Division.
After a goalless opening period with few clear-cut chances the Linnets scored three times in the space of 10 minutes after the break to effectively wrap up the points.
Royston held firm until the 62nd minute when Ryan Hawkins set up Michael Gash to break the deadlock.
It wasn't long before Hawkins took centre stage himself, doubling the home lead with a well struck shot, and manager Ian Culverhouse could relax when Michael Clunan converted from the penalty spot following a foul on Craig Parker.
With the points in the bag Lynn continued to push forward and man-of-the-match Ryan Hawkins provided the icing on the cake in the 90th minute with wonderful curling strike from distance.
