Robert Eagle made a perfect return to Lowestoft as the Blues ended a run of eight games without a win
The Blues had a sight of goal in the opening two minutes when Shaun Bammant's header was blocked on the line.
Eagle, signed on loan from Leiston, then tried to tee up Jake Reed but the visitors managed to clear his trademark cross. Bammant put an effort just wide after nine minutes, but the breakthrough came on 24 minutes when Town deservedly took the lead, Reed slotting home.
Reed tried from distance minutes later, while Eagle forced the Enfield keeper into making a save as he tried his luck from long range. Six minutes from half-time Lowestoft got the goal they needed, and it was that man Eagle who got it, with a fierce drive from 20 yards out.
Reed made it safe with his second of the game on 73 minutes.
