A Norwich City legend will be remembered at Gorleston later this month.
The Sandy Kennon Charity Golf Day in aid of the Alzheimer's Society takes place on Monday, April 30, starting at 12 noon.
As well as raising funds for a good cause the event will be celebrating the life of the late goalkeeper, who played 255 times for City between 1959 and 1964 and lived with dementia in his later years.
It is anticipated that some of Kennon's former colleagues and some former players who featured more recently will be playing.
The cost for a team of four is £140 to include coffee and bacon rolls on arrival, on course refreshments, green fees, three course evening meal, prizes for at least the first three teams and nearest the pin on par three holes. For an entry form and further information contact valerie.cadmore@alzheimers.org.uk or contact the secretary at Gorleston Golf Club (01493 661911, jane@gorlestongolfclub.co.uk).
