Norfolk's under-14 boys have been in County Cup action at Woodford Wells in Essex.
The team, grouped with Hertfordshire, Nottinghamshire and Bedfordshire, were playing off to determine who would contest a national qualifying match.
In the first round Norfolk played a strong Herts team and competed hard despite going down 5-1 in rubbers, Will Stoppani winning the one rubber.
Against Notts, Stoppani was again victorious, supported well by number one player Joe Hendon who won his match in three sets. In the doubles Norfolk could not match the aggression of their opponents, losing the tie 2-4.
On the final day Norfolk faced Beds for fifth or sixth place, Stoppani capping off a superb weekend with another singles win, singles wins also for Hendon and Barnaby Taylor gave the team a 3-1 advantage going into the doubles, both won to earn Norfolk a 5-1 win.
