Dereham Town intend to end a successful season with a win when they entertain Hertford Town.
After topping the table in the early part of the season and occupying a play-off spot for the majority, they have dropped out of contention in recent weeks – but they can still be highly satisfied with their performance.
Manager Neal Simmons – who along with his assistant Wayne Anderson and coach Matt Parkinson have impressed in their first season at the helm – said: 'We are planning to finish the season with a win and in eighth position following a successful season.
'After last season's disappointing bottom-half finish it is nice to be back in the top eight where we spent our first three seasons in the division.'
Dereham will need to follow up their midweek 2-0 win against Waltham Abbey with another win to ensure they finish eighth. Simmons is without the suspended Robbie Linford, but Andy Howell is back in the squad.
