Dereham will be hoping their luck will change when they travel to Bury today.
The Magpies have slipped to 18th after three defeats and a three-point deduction for fielding an ineligible player.
They were beaten 1-0 at home by Canvey a week ago, when Robbie Linford was sent off, and face another tough test against Bury, in eighth.
'I'm proud of the effort and commitment shown last week after the disappointment of an early red card,' said manager Neal Simmons. 'We are working hard to improve our fortunes and look forward to visiting Bury.'
Linford is suspended, Owen Murphy, Adam Hipperson, Karol Wengrizk and Jamie Forshaw are doubtful, George Quantrell unavailable and Adam Smith, Dylan Edge, Sam Garner, Rhys Logan, Ashley Jarvis all longer-term absentees.
'We will get through this difficult period and pick up as many points as possible, which will provide a platform for when we are back to full strength,' added Simmons.
