King’s Lynn Town returned to National League action with a bump when they lost 5-1 at high-flying Sutton United.
The Linnets were coming off the back of a shock FA Cup first round win at Port Vale a week ago.
They trailed by a single goal at the break, scored by Isaac Olaofe, and were lucky not to have been in deeper trouble.
Olaofe got his second on 53 minutes and completed his hat-trick on 69.
Sub Tobi Sho-Silva added a fourth before Lynn’s Dayle Southwell pulled one back, 12 minutes from time, only for Harry Beautyman to finish it off with a header in the final minute.
