Canaries fans have been moved to a new area of Burnley's Turf Moor stadium for this afternoon's game after storms caused extensive damage to the ground.

The David Fishwick (Cricket Field) Stand has suffered extensive damage and following discussions with Police, Lancashire County Council and the club's safety officials, it was ruled out of bounds for fans.

Norwich fans will enter Turf Moor by the usual turnstiles on Harry Potts Way, by the players' entrance, where they will be escorted to their seats in blocks 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the James Hargreaves Lower.

The knock-on effect is that all Burnley season ticket holders located in blocks 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the James Hargreaves Lower Stand (closest to the David Fishwick Stand) will be relocated elsewhere within the stand to accommodate the visitors.

The club and police are asking supporters to arrive at the ground in good time ahead to ease anticipated congestion.

Burnley chief executive Dave Edmundson said: “Unfortunately the weather conditions have damaged part of the roof of the Cricket Field Stand. The weather has also prevented us from inspecting or repairing the damaged roof and unless we could reallocate seating we were faced with postponing the game. We thank the supporters in advance for their patience and understanding.”
