Local cricketers performing heroics on the field will be rewarded in our new competition, run in conjunction with Norwich solicitors Hansells.
The EDP24/Hansells Cricket Awards will see one batsman and one bowler chosen every week to receive £10 vouchers to spend at Pilch Sports in Norwich.
But the lucky winners will not necessarily be the highest runscorers or the bowlers with the best figures - what we are looking for is the best achievement from the weekend's games. For example, it might be a young player impressing on his debut - or even a veteran proving that age is no barrier. Or it could be the batsman who hit his first half-century and the bowler who grabbed a hat-trick.
To be considered, all you need to do is email details of the nominee to norfolksport@archant.co.uk before noon on Wednesdays.
Please include their full name, age, team, match details and a contact telephone number as well as brief details of what they did in the game and a photograph.
Winners will be chosen by our judges and announced in Friday's Eastern Daily Press and on the website, www.edp24.co.uk/sport
The competition starts with this weekend's games and is open to all cricketers, from the East Anglian Premier League to under-11 matches, so get your entries in to be in with a chance of claiming next Friday's award.
