A plethora of two-day meetings is scheduled for this weekend; Cruisers at Thurne, a Star and Norfolk double-header at NBYC and the Waveney Championships at WOBYC, and two non-competitive events, Yare Valley SC's Repps Staithe Rally, and HBSC Cruise to Womack. Saturday 29 sees the second BOD Simo event at Lowestoft and a Yare SC sail from Surlingham to Bramerton for a BBQ, whilst on Sunday, Buckenham have their Reedham race, Horning another Open downriver to Thurne, the Punt Club a Bittern Open, RNSYC host the Toppers Eastern Area Travellers meeting, and the Yare Challenge for River Cruisers from Coldham Hall and Yare SC will be sailed on Sunday, with a new trophy, the Bessie Bell Centenary trophy, for the individual winner as well as the usual team award.

The first weekend in July sees Horning's Keelboat weekend, sailed on Black Horse Broad, and coupled on Saturday July 6 with a special Pursuit Race at 5pm followed by tea and a celebration of the 50th anniversary of the present clubhouse, with Past Commodore David Hastings, who opened it. NBYC have a River Cruiser event, Barton a Punt weekend and RNSYC a BOD weekend with the third BOD Simo race on Saturday and the Dabchick Trophy event on Sunday. Brundall MY Club start a two-week cruise to Holland on Saturday and on Sunday there is an upriver race at Beccles.
