Norfolk magician Sean Goodman has made a mystical prediction concerning a local newspaper - and has promised to reveal all live on stage at St George's Theatre on Friday.

Yarmouth-based Sean, a member of The Magic Circle, is performing a family-friendly show, Slight of Mind, at 7.30pm. The show will feature 'feats of psychological suggestion' and mindreading.

Earlier this month Sean made a prediction about a newspaper article, wrote it down, asked the High Sheriff of Norfolk, the Countess of Leicester, to sign it and seal it in a box. The Countess has had the box in her keeping ever since to make sure it cannot be tampered with.

Sean wouldn't reveal the details of his prediction, which could be about the Great Yarmouth Mercury or its sister paper the EDP, but said he will find out if he is right live in front of tonight's audience.

'It's really exciting to perform at St George's,' said Sean.

'And while I've done predictions before, I've never done a newspaper one so it's a first for me.'

Tickets to the show are £10 for adults, £7 concessions and £25 for a family ticket.
