As part of an exciting range of attractions we are laying on at the Royal Norfolk Show this year, you will have the chance to be pictured on a giant copy of our newspaper on a 'face in the hole' board.

They will be situated at the front of our ever-popular tea tent at stand 211 on the third drive. Visitors can then tweet pictures of themselves using the hashtag #BigEDP or #BigEN. We will use the photos on our website and the best ones will be used in our show supplements.

In the tent, readers will be able to get a free cup of tea or coffee with vouchers we will be running in the paper in the run-up to the show. Cakes will also be on sale.

Around the showground we will be selling goody bags containing various items, including a copy of the paper, a drink and crisps for just £1.

Don't miss the EDP's 60-page show preview supplement – sponsored by Woodforde's Norfolk Ales – which will run in the paper on June 19.

• Educational fun on offer for youngsters

Brand new for this year is the Discovery Zone – an educational area combining fun and interesting activities with learning.

It is aimed at young people of all ages and includes everything from painting and poetry to science games, sports and arts and crafts.

Julian Taylor, show director, said: 'It's supported by Norfolk County Council, and includes Easton and Otley College, Active Norfolk, England Rugby Football Union, Norfolk Young Farmers and LaFarge Tarmac.'

Also in the Discovery Zone will be the nine Norfolk schools which planted their potato seeds at the showground back in March as part of the potato challenge being run by the Potato Council. After nurturing their crops for the past few weeks, they are visiting the show for the harvesting event. Each school will weigh in its potatoes in the Discovery Zone on Wednesday.

Knot Farm has been introduced just east of the sheep lines this year and will feature something for all the family to enjoy – some rare breeds of cattle, sheep, pigs, goats and heavy horses, along with different breeds of ducks, rabbits and chickens.
