Budding musicians from across the district will take part in a heat of the Rotary Young Musician Competition 2018.

The Rotary Club of Holt and District, in conjunction with Broadland Rotary Club, are hosting the north Norfolk heat of the national contest at an afternoon of performances which will be open to the public. The heat will take place on Sunday, January 28 in the new Britten Building at Gresham's school in Holt.

The £6.5m music and sixth-form centre was opened in July by Princess Anne.

A spokesman said of the contest: 'It is an outstanding opportunity for young aspiring musicians to enjoy the experience of playing in the most modern of recital halls, with facilities far exceeding almost any other school in the country, an opportunity that should not be missed.'
