North West Norfolk MP Sir Henry Bellingham helped lay the building blocks of McCarthy and Stone's forthcoming retirement development in Hunstanton.

He joined McCarthy and Stone site manager Keith Rowley to take a closer look at development plans and to perform a ground-breaking ceremony to mark the start of work at Eastland Grange.

The complex, at the junction of Lynn Road and Westgate, will comprise 55 apartments for the over 70s.

Sir Henry said: 'It was a pleasure to visit McCarthy and Stone's new Hunstanton development. Developments such as this are a great asset to the town, as they provide the perfect solution for older people who are looking to living their retirement to the full, surrounded by like-minded individuals, and with support available should they need it.'

The first homeowners expected to move-in to their new homes at Eastland Grange in February 2019.
