A woman was raped by two men in a park at Wisbech in what has been called an isolated but 'very traumatic experience'.

Police are investigating after the woman in her 40's was attacked by two men in the Spinney Park at around 9pm on Sunday February 7.

The victim was walking from Prince of Wales Close towards Beechwood Road on Sunday February 7 when she was approached by two men.

She was assaulted a few moments later, both physically and sexually, in the Spinney Park in Waterlees Road.

Detective Sergeant Tracy Sawyer said: 'This was a very traumatic experience for the victim.

'I would like to reassure members of the public that we believe this to be an isolated incident.

'I am keen to find out who carried out the attack and would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen something to get in touch.'

The incident was reported to officers at 9.20pm on Tuesday (February 9).
