The body of a woman believed to be that of missing Norfolk holidaymaker Suzanne Hughes has been found in the sea near Holland.
Mrs Hughes, 67, from Kineton Green in Solihull, was staying at a holiday home in Merchants Court, Cromer, when she went missing last month.
She was last seen at about 10.30pm on July 17, the day before she was due to return to her West Midlands home.
Mrs Hughes was holidaying in north Norfolk with her husband Alan, daughter and grandson.
A message posted yesterday on a public community Facebook page Are you on holiday in Cromer and Norfolk? said: 'It is with great sadness to tell you that my mum has been found and identified. Thank you all for sharing, liking, thoughts and prayers. Take care all. Look after each other.'
A Norfolk police spokesman said yesterday: 'Police in Norfolk can confirm the body of a woman found at sea 40 miles off the coast of Holland is thought to be that of Suzanne Hughes who went missing while on holiday in Cromer. Formal identification is yet to take place and next-of-kin have been informed.'
They added the body remained in Holland and Norfolk police was liaising with Dutch authorities.
Dozens of heartfelt messages have been left on the Facebook page.
Francesca Farrell said: 'I am so sorry to hear your news. Hoping that this has brought some closure to you all even though the news is not good. My condolences to you all.'
Louise Duke Wilkes said: 'Sorry to be reading this. Such heartbreaking news for all the family.'
Her husband told the BBC his wife was 'upset' and 'low' because of health problems but it was it was 'out of character' for her to go missing.
