A woman was taken to hospital with suspected neck and back injuries when she fell from an inflatable being pulled by a speedboat this afternoon.

The woman was pulled onto the speedboat, which was just off the Claremont Pier, and HM Coastguard were called.

The Lowestoft Lifeboat escorted the speedboat back to the lifeboat station, where an ambulance was waiting at about 1.30pm.

It is not clear how she sustained the injuries.
