A woman has avoided jail after she pleaded guilty to carrying a knife on a busy shopping street in Great Yarmouth.
Danielle Heptinstall, 32, from the Yarmouth area, was arrested on Sunday, May 1 after she was found by police officers carrying an eight inch long blade in Regent Road.
She was charged yesterday and she appeared before magistrates in Yarmouth today and pleaded guilty to carrying a bladed article.
She was handed a 14 day prison sentence, suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £200 costs to the court.
