Police are seeking witnesses following two criminal damage incidents at Market Place in Bungay.

A building undergoing renovation was broken into between 5.30pm on Monday, October 24 and 9am on Tuesday, October 25. It is thought that suspects climbed up the scaffolding before smashing an upper floor window, pulling off the roof tiles and damaging the drain pipe.

A police spokesman said officers 'would like to speak to a group of youths,' who were seen in the area at about 6.30pm on the Monday evening.

'Officers believe this incident is connected to an arson which occurred around 8.15pm the same evening, where a small public bin was deliberately set alight, and are appealing to the drivers of a van and Renault Clio to get in touch to assist with enquiries,' the police spokesman added.
