Witness appeal over multi-vehicle crash on Great Yarmouth-Lowestoft road near Hopton

POLICE are seeking witnesses after a multi-vehicle crash on the A12 between Hopton and Lowestoft, which led to a car crashing into a barrier.

Officers are investigating what happened to cause the collision on the southbound (Lowestoft bound) side of the dual carriageway, close to the plant nurseries north of the Rackhams Corner roundabout, about 5.45pm yesterday (Wednesday, November 7).

A car crashed into a barrier and debris struck a number of passing vehicles. Fortunately no one was seriously hurt but the collision is believed to have involved at least six vehicles, including a dark coloured van-type vehicle that did not stop at the scene.

Police need to trace the driver of this vehicle and are also keen to speak to any witnesses. If you can help please call PC 1519 Cudmore at Lowestoft police on 101.
