Officers are appealing for information after a 17-year-old boy was sexually assaulted in north Lowestoft.

The teenager was walking in the wooded area off Corton Road, opposite Dip Farm, between 1.15pm and 1.30pm on Saturday, March 12.

He was then approached by a man, believed to be in his late teens to early 20s, who spoke to him.

The teenager continued walking with the man and soon afterwards the man sexually touched him.

The boy then ran away, heading towards the road and the golf course where he flagged down a green car with a man, woman and young girl in.

Police are asking them, or anyone else who may have been in the area at the time, to come forward.

The man officers are keen to speak to, is described as white, of stocky build, around 5ft 9ins tall, with blond scruffy hair, wearing glasses, brown steel toe boots and a light blue fleece top – with a high visibility jacket over the top.
