A team which promotes innovation in renewable energy will be showcasing what it does in the region at a London show.

Lowestoft-based Score will be at the Offshore Wind Energy conference from June 6 to 8 to tell the 10,000 visitors about its work providing grants and support to firms in the East.

In less than a year it has awarded more than £750,000 worth of grants supporting projects ranging from radio and blade repair systems to a generator which uses alternatives to expensive rare earth magnets.

Project manager Rob Bush said: 'Score is helping small and medium-sized companies develop ideas into products and services, and we will be spreading the word about our work at this major event.

'It is a great opportunity to talk to companies who may have ideas but need help in bringing them to the commercial market – and to meet people in the supply chain who may have issues which could be solved by businesses on our radar.'
