Prof Trudgill is president of the Friends of the Norfolk Dialect, a columnist on the EDP, an author, and a professor of linguistics.
The illustrated talk will be held in the Garden Street Community (WI) Hall at 7.30pm.
Entry is £3, in support of the Friends of Cromer Museum.
