A team which helps young people overcome mental health problems such as depression and anxiety and go onto employment has been honoured with a special award.

Wellbeing Norfolk and Waveney's city team has been presented with a gold award from Norwich for Jobs, a group which aims to cut the number of young people registered as unemployed.

Chloe Smith, Norwich North MP, presented the city team, which is part of the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, with the award.

Andy Mack, service manager, said: 'The Wellbeing service looks at the whole person and in so doing tries to support people to not only access talking therapy but to also help build skills that will help them to maintain recovery in to the future. Maintaining or accessing employment is often central to someone feeling mentally healthy.'
