Schools forced to close after Storm Doris
A number of schools have been forced to close due to power failures caused by Storm Doris.
Norfolk County Council said seven schools are currently closed as a result of problems caused by yesterday's winds.
The schools closed are:
• Edmund De Moundeford VC Primary School, Feltwell, Thetford: School closed due to no power and therefore no heating.
• Filby Primary School, Filby, Great Yarmouth: School closed because of no power due to storm.
• Flitcham Church Of England Primary Academy, Flitcham, King's Lynn: School closed due to no power and no heating after yesterday's storm.
• Pulham CE Primary School, Hareston Road, Diss: School closed due to power cut which is not expected back on until 3 pm.
• Seething and Mundham Primary School, Seething: School closed due to power cut.
• St Michael's CE VC Nursery and Infant School, Aylsham, School closed due to power cut.
• St Peter & St. Paul Carbrooke Church Of England Primary Academy, Carbrooke: School closed because there is no power and heating.
• Thompson Primary School, near Thetford: School closed as there is no electric on site.
