It's certainly been a scorcher of a week. Before temperatures dip, make the most of the hot weather with a night away at one of the region's best campsites.

1. The family-run Outley Meadow, in Bungay, is sat next to the River Waveney, making it perfectly placed for walks, bird-watching and relaxing by - or canoeing on - the river.

2. Describing itself as no-frills, Old Vicarage Camping, in Moulton St Mary, is for people passionate about camping. Enjoy a campfire with its custom-made braziers.

3. If you fancy caravanning or camping next door to a zoo, Applewood Countryside Park, just a five minute walk from Banham Zoo, is the spot for you.

4. Reedham Ferry Touring Park boasts its own chain ferry across the River Yare, as well as the Reedham Ferry Inn, a barbecue area and views over local marshes.

5. There's plenty of pitches and parks to pick from at the ever popular Clippesby Hall campsite, which acts as the perfect base to explore the Norfolk Broads.

7. Fleggburgh-based Broad Farm Touring Caravan Park and Campsite has been offering family holidays since the 1960s - and is still going strong.

8. Enjoy fresh produce, the sights of stunning north Norfolk and a barbecue with a refreshing drink at the popular Breck Farm in Weybourne.

9. The award-wining Deepdale Backpackers and Camping, in Burnham Deepdale, is sat a stone's throw from the coast, and next door to Deepdale Café and Dalegate Market.

10. Sat in the Waveney Valley, the Waveney River Centre offers its own restaurant, playground, wildlife garden and ferry to a nature reserve, as well as boats to hire.
