On March 9 Mr Aldous met with apprentices, college staff and a range of employers to discuss the benefits of apprentices and the issues surrounding them.

He firstly met with Level Three supporting teaching and learning apprentice, followed by a meeting with representatives from Pasta Foods and Proserv, who were in college interviewing potential apprentices.

This was an opportunity for employers to raise concerns regarding issues such as the third crossing and Brexit.

As part of the same event Suffolk Apprentices and The Mason Trust gave presentations to students about their websites and how these resources can be used in finding apprenticeships.

To conclude the day Mr Aldous visited hospitality and catering apprentices at Sam's Coffee House, construction apprentices at Waveney District Council and engineering apprentices at Bradman Lake in Beccles.
