A 34-year-old man from Watton has been jailed for 32 months and given a five-year Community Behaviour Order.

Matthew Timmins, who lives on Hunters Oak, was sentenced at Norwich Magistrates Courts on Monday, April 3.

He pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to five counts of theft at shops in Thetford, Norwich and Swaffham between July 2016 and March 2017; driving offences and criminal damage to a police cell on Thursday, January 19 2017; obstructing a police officer on Thursday, March 16 this year, and a burglary in Cambridge in February 2016.

Timmins was sentenced to 32 months in prison and disqualified from driving for 18 months.

He was also given a five year Community Behaviour Order which prohibits him from remaining in any shop or commercial premises if asked to leave by the staff or entering any premises to which he has already been banned or excluded from.

He is also required to engage with Norfolk Recovery Partnership.
