A renewable energy firm has secured two major East Anglian contracts together worth more than £1m.
Watton-based business Abel Energy has signed deals to install a one megawatt biomass boiler at Bioline AgroSciences' Clacton facility.
The heat generated from the system will be used to cultivate biological pest control for crop management.
The second contract is with Pips Skips for a one megawatt biomass boiler at its East Tuddenham facility. The heat generated by the boiler will be used to run a dryer for recycled material as well as heating the company's office premises and workshop.
Abel Energy managing director Chris Abel said: 'These are two large contracts which show that the market for renewable energy in the commercial sector is still very buoyant.
'Both these new clients' businesses depend on high energy use, and they have recognised the financial and reputational benefit of embracing green energy.'
