Parish councillors and volunteers collected 10 bags of rubbish around Old Catton during the Big Village Clean Up last Sunday.

Some of the finds included pints half full of beer, nappies and full dog poo bags.

Chairman Bradley Sabberton-Coe said 'Our aim is to get everyone out and about, cleaning up their community through the year and understanding that small actions can be the start of big changes. We are privileged to live in such a beautiful village but when you look closely there are changes we can make to improve our quality of living.'

The Big Village Clean Up will take place again in Old Catton on Sunday 25th June and Sunday 8th October between 10am and 4pm. All those wishing to volunteer and take part please contact the Parish Council Office on 01603 423880 or check out the website – www.oldcattonparishcouncil.co.uk
