EDP reporter David Blackmore is well on the way to completing his 139-mile bike ride to Calais - without leaving King's Lynn.
Bleary-eyed commuters watched as 'Blackie' took to an exercise bike outside Sainsbury's in the Vancouver Quarter first thing this morning.
Wearing his lucky shorts and with help from KLFM96.7 and passing shoppers to pedal a few miles for him, he was confident of staying the course.
David hopes to raise �4,000 towards the cost of modernising a school in Namibia. He will be flying out to Africa to lend a hand with the work.
So far he has raised �3,400 - which leaves just �600 to find.
