UPDATE: Train line reopened after cows struck at Somerleyton

Trains between Norwich and Lowestoft were cancelled this evening after cows were struck on the track near Somerleyton.

Trains between Norwich and Lowestoft were cancelled this evening after cows were struck on the track near Somerleyton.

Bus replacement services and taxis were put in place after trains were cancelled following the incident at around 6.20pm. The line reopened at around 10pm. A National Express East Anglia spokesman said it was 17.50 service from Norwich to Lowestoft which was involved. He said that National Rail would now be talking to the stockholder about checking the fencing around the railway line.l.
