Four people injured in a two-car crash at Roughton, near Cromer, spent last night in hospital.
Emergency crews were called to Thorpe Market Road at 4.25pm yesterday afternoon to reports of four casualties.
Firefighters from Aylsham, Cromer and Sheringham used hydraulic rescue equipment to free the driver from a Renault Megane, which was in a collision with a silver Skoda Octavia..
The driver of the Megane was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with serious injuries, while the two rear seat passengers were treated for minor injuries, including a broken arm and cuts and bruises.
The severity of the forth passenger's injuries is still unknown, a Norfolk police spokesman said.
She added that the two passengers from the Octavia did not have any injuries.
The road remained closed until shortly before 9pm.
