A man has been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital after a motorbike and a car were in collision on the A47 Acle Straight this afternoon.

The man, aged in his 30s, is conscious and breathing and an ambulance service spokeswoman confirmed his injuries are not life-threatening.

He was taken to the N&N by land ambulance after the incident, near the Halvergate turn, at around 2.30pm.

The air ambulance attended the scene after being called at 2.32pm, and police closed the road after being called at 2.33pm.

The vehicles in collision were a black Suzuki bike and a blue Fiat car.

Police said the Acle Straight should re-open within half an hour (by 4.15pm) once the carriageway has been cleared.
