Two women are in a serious condition after a crash in Wroxham, which saw the air ambulance called.
Officers were called to the B1140 Salhouse Road at about 3.30pm to reports of a head-on two-car crash.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called to the crash, which is thought to have taken place in a dip in the road.
Two people were trapped in their vehicles but it is understood they have since been freed.
The ambulance service sent two ambulance crews, a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance officer.
They treated three patients, two women who are both in a serious condition and a child who is thought to be uninjured.
Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service sent four crews, one each from Sprowston, Wroxham, Carrow and Earlham.
The B1140 was closed in both directions for more than six hours.
There are delays between the A1151 Norwich Road and the Honeycombe Road junction, while bus services, including the Konect 53, have been disrupted.
