Budding artists are being urged to get in their entries for a new monument in Attleborough in honour of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012.
Attleborough Jubilee Partnership – a group of town councillors and community organisations – want to establish a new centrepiece in Queen's Square in time for the landmark anniversary on June 5.
Designs for the new monument must be submitted to Attleborough Town Hall by January 14 and can come from individuals or groups.
A judging panel will pick their favourite design, which will then be commissioned, paid for and constructed by local craftsmen. The partnership is also planning to put together a new time capsule as part of the Jubilee celebrations.
For more information about the monument competition or the time capsule, contact Marjorie Clementson at the town council on 01953 456194 or email enquiries@attleboroughtc.org.uk
