A car-lover whose £135,000 Mercedes was damaged by paint stripper two weeks after he bought it has voiced his anger over the crime.
Zane Saxton, of Gorleston, left his Mercedes G63 AMG overnight on Campion Way in Hethersett while he visited a friend on Saturday night.
But when he returned to the car on Sunday morning, he discovered the a corrosive liquid had been poured on the vehicle, damaging paintwork on the door and wheel arches.
On closer inspection, he found that a corrosive liquid had been poured over parts of the vehicle.
The 26-year-old, who estimated that the damage would set him back around £5,000, said he was 'livid' - and would like to find out who was responsible.
'I couldn't believe it. I'm fuming that someone has done it, and the car was only a couple of weeks old,' he said.
Mr Saxton, who works in the video games industry, added that he had no idea why someone would have damaged his car, but said that it could be a 'combination of opportunism and jealousy'.
A Norfolk police spokesperson confirmed that they were investigating the incident, which they believe happened sometime between 7.30pm on Saturday, February 21 and 9.30am the following morning.
They encouraged anyone with information to get in touch on 101.
