Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash involving a car and a motorbike.

A man in his 40s suffered injuries to his foot after it became trapped under his bike following the accident near the Fat Cat Brewery Tap pub, in Norwich.

Meanwhile, a woman in her 40s, was left with neck pain. It led to a section of Sprowston Road being closed off by emergency services shortly after 5.40pm today. It reopened at 7.20pm.

Both casualties were said to be in a stable condition and were taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further treatment.

Two fire engines from Sprowston and Earlham attended and used rescue equipment.
