Two more patients being treated for coronavirus have died at the James Paget Hospital, bringing the total to five.
A statement from the hospital said: “Sadly, we can confirm that two patients who were being cared for at the James Paget University Hospital, and had tested positive for COVID-19, have died.
“The patients who died were a woman in her 80s and a man in his 70s.
“Both had underlying health conditions.
“Their families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time.”
The first recorded death at the hospital was a man in his 80s on March 28, while two more deaths on March 29 and 30 were among a woman in her 90s and a man in his 70s.
All had underlying health conditions.
As of Sunday, March 29, 28 people were being treated for the virus at JPUH.
There are now 29,474 cases confirmed across the UK.
