Two men arrested for drug offences after police stop speeding car in Sprowston

Police conducting speed checks on Salhouse Road in Sprowston arrested two men in their 20s for drug offences after stopping a car.

Officers pulled over the car after seeing it driving around 44mph around 6.45pm on Monday evening and after walking to the vehicle detected the smell of cannabis. The driver of the car provided a positive drug test for cannabis and was arrested.

Following a search of the car drugs were found inside the car and the occupant was also arrested.

Both men were taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre and were interviewed on Monday night.
